Who is watching
your plates?

Automated license plate readers from Flock Safety are spreading across Louisville and Southern Indiana. These cameras log every vehicle that passes — location, time, and direction — and share that data with thousands of agencies.

// Why this exists

Local eyes on the network.

This is the Louisville / Southern Indiana chapter of the broader DeFlock movement. We document Flock Safety cameras, share what we find, and push back against warrantless mass tracking of everyday drivers.

Our focus covers Louisville Metro and the cities just across the river — Jeffersonville, New Albany, Clarksville, and surrounding areas.

Mapped cameras

Camera locations sourced from OpenStreetMap / DeFlock community data. Data is hosted locally on this site for reliability (last updated Aug 2026).

Hover a marker for the location, then click it to open details — including a community photo of the actual camera when one has been approved. Have a picture of a unit on the map, or found one that isn’t here yet? Add to the map →

Report a Camera

We’re building a photo database of Flock and other ALPR cameras across Louisville and Southern Indiana. A clear picture of the actual unit is the most useful contribution you can make — it helps verify locations, document hardware, and show the community what’s really out there.

Spot a camera? Take a photo (from a safe public place), note the location, and submit it below. Whether it’s already on our map or a brand-new find, we want the picture.

Clear shot of the camera unit if possible · JPG, PNG or WebP · Max 8 MB · Location metadata is stripped automatically

Is this camera already on our map?

Check the map above if you’re unsure — either way, a photo still helps.

Get involved

You don’t need to be technical. Spotting cameras, sharing information, attending local meetings, or just talking to neighbors all help.

This site is also being built to eventually connect with a community LoRa / Meshcore network for more resilient local reporting.
